If you wonder what SEOTesting.com is and what you can achieve using this tool, you are in the right place!

As an SEO expert and content writer, I’ve tested various SEO tools for small businesses and SEO agency software. This SEOTesting review is one of my in-depth tool reviews, sharing my honest feedback and opinion about the tool usage. I hope my article will help you save time and decide whether SEOTesting can help you support your business goals.

Here is a table of contents for your convenience:

TL;DR SEOTesting

Most of my readers are busy people. I know it, and I respect it! Therefore, I’ve summarized the most important information you should know about SEOTesting.com.

Feel free to go through the bullet points below if you don’t have time to read the entire SEOTesting review.

SEOTesting is rated 5/5 based on 18 reviews on Product Hunt.
5/5

You can use a 14-day free trial to test the tool. No credit card is required.

It’s important to mention that SEOTesting.com does not have a free plan. So, your data will be deleted if you don’t upgrade after the trial ends.

The pricing starts from $40 per website per month.

There is a solution for agencies that manage multiple client websites. For $300, you’ll be able to use SEOTesting for 20 websites.

Note that you must have Google Search Console access to all the websites you want to add to SEOTesting.com. Otherwise, you won’t be able to use the tool.

Rank tracker (it’s affordable in the case of SEOTesting.com compared to other SEO tools), keyword rankings report, the striking distance report (to see keywords your website ranks for on 10+ positions), and the content quality report.

The tool is intuitive.

However, you’ll be recommended to go through quick tutorials after registration.

They are very helpful, narrating how you can benefit from the tool—highly recommended!

Individual site owners on a budget.

For $40/m, you’ll get a rank tracker for 500 keywords, traffic, content quality, and keyword reports providing you with exact statistics of your website performance.

You won’t see keyword data based on location. The number of reports is limited. I’d still recommend using advanced tools, like Semrush or Ahrefs, if you actively work on client projects.

What is SEOTesting?

SEOTesting

SEOTesting.com is an excellent tool for SEO professionals and website owners who want to improve their organic search presence. It is easy to use and provides a wealth of data and insights to help you make informed decisions about your SEO strategy.

Here is how the SEOTesting.com can help you:

  • Figure out what works
  • Double down on tasks with higher ROI
  • Track the results of your work
  • Share the results with your team members

If you are serious about improving your organic search traffic, then SEOTesting.com is a great tool to consider.

I am sharing this quick video from the SEOTesting.com website since it perfectly describes the tool and how it can be helpful.

How SEOTesting works

Before writing a review about SEOTesting.com, I registered for a 14-day free trial.

I believe every online tool should have a trial since this is the best way to understand whether a tool suits your needs.

SEOTesting has a few registration steps and does not require a credit card. It’s a significant advantage since I often forget to cancel trials and get charged.

Please note that you can only add your website with a verified Google Search Console (GSC) account to the SEOTesting.

Once you are registered, you’ll see the dashboard.

Even though you’ll be exposed to the numbers taken from GSC, mapping website metrics with Google algorithm updates makes the reports quite informative.

In my case, I’ve realized that none of the Google algorithm updates adversely impacted my website performance. Even though I am busy and lack time for my website, it grows steadily.

Annotations

If you’ve made any changes to your website and want to track their impact on your website performance, you can create an annotation that will be visible in the performance reports.

As an SEO specialist, I see at least one case when SEOTesting annotations will be exceptionally helpful.

I am talking about newly published pages or those recently updated pages that lost their rankings for some reason. I usually track the impact of content updates in GSC, but I can’t add any notes there. That’s why I often forget what caused an impression spike.

In this case, you can add annotations any time you update your website content and see how the overall (Or URL-specific) impressions, clicks, and CTR change.

SEOTesting as a rank tracker

Compared to other SEO tools, like Semrush, Ahrefs, or Magools, SEOTesting is more affordable for rankings tracking.

For one website and $40 per month, you can track 500 keyword rankings.

However, you need to add keywords and URLs manually or upload a CSV file for SEOTesting to track them. Furthermore, you won’t see rankings for different countries. I assume the numbers are the global average.

In a nutshell, the report provides detailed information about keyword rankings, but this data is not enough to draw a conclusion about your website’s SEO performance. Knowing the device (mobile or desktop) and the location (country or city) is essential.

SEOTesting reports

SEOTesting offers various reports for website analysis, including:

  • Queries report
  • Pages performance
  • Brand vs. Non-brand keywords performance
  • Low CTRs by query
  • Low CTRs by page
  • Top queries missing from meta title and description
  • Top query per page
  • New keywords your website started ranking for from the last week
  • New indexed pages from the previous week
  • Pages that declined in traffic
  • Keywords your website ranks for based on search intent
  • Long tail keywords
  • Low-quality content
  • Pages with the potential to rank on the first search engine result page
  • Keyword cannibalization

I reviewed all these reports when writing this SEOTesting review for my website to understand what I could use SEOTesting.com for and whether I could potentially cancel my expensive SEO subscriptions.

Even though SEOTesting.com won’t show you all the data related to your website like Semrush does, its reports reveal valuable insights about your website’s performance.

I’ll share my favorite reports and what you can use them for.

1. Search intent keywords report

The search intent keywords report will show all the keywords your website ranks for based on their search intent. If you monetize your website through affiliate partnerships and sell your own products, like me, you’ll be interested in the commercial keywords.

If you run an ecommerce store, the tool lets you see the transactional keywords and the performance data.

2. Striking distance queries report

Google Search Console used to have this report. However, it’s no longer available. If you want to see keywords your website ranks for on 10+ positions, you can find this data in the SEOTesting Striking Distance Queries report

It’s essential to review such keywords from time to time since improving rankings for some of these keywords can help enhance search visibility and business performance.

3. Content quality report

You won’t find this kind of report elsewhere. I have not seen anything similar elsewhere. However, it’s beneficial information to know about your website.

The content quality report shows web pages with poor content that does not rank. The solution would be to rewrite and optimize the content (I do it regularly for my website pages), delete or 301 redirect these web pages.

I must say the report is pretty accurate. I know the reasons behind the top-listed web pages not ranking.

  • 3 strategies to manage your pipeline — not optimized guest post
  • Blogging tips — it was a website category that I did not turn into an article yet
  • Privacy policy — a secondary page that’s not supposed to rank
  • Annie Maguire’s success story — a guest post
  • Start here — this web page was a part of the menu, but I no longer use it

You’ll always find poorly performing content on your website. However, not every web page is worth your attention. I’d recommend focusing on the ones that will help you improve your business performance.

SEOTesting Chrome extension

SEOTesting has a powerful Chrome extension for website owners.

I’ve used different extensions, like the Mangools Chrome extension and the SEO Pro extension by MarketingSyrup, but this one seems the best based on the provided insights.

Once you install the extension and authenticate the API key on the Account tab of the extension, you’ll be able to see the following:

  • A page structure with metadata, canonicals, headlines, and HTTP status code
  • Google Search Console URL inspection results
  • All keywords a web page ranked for in the past 90 days
  • Page organic performance in the past 90 days
  • SEO test results if you ran any

The queries report, in particular, is the most helpful since I can immediately see the keywords a web page ranks for. There is no need to log in anywhere or pay for various SEO tools. SEOTesting provides this data for all your website pages while browsing.

It’s worth mentioning that the extension will only provide insights for your website since your GSC account is connected to the SEOTesting tool. The extension will only show the on-page data for other websites.

If you want to check other reports, you’ll get the following message: “You do not have this website in your SEOTesting.com subscription.”

SEOTesting.com pricing

One of the SEOTesting.com advantages is its 14-day free trial, which you can use to test the tool and decide whether it’s worth paying for.

I recommend signing up for a free trial, even if you’ve already decided to upgrade. The Single site plan is ideal for individual website owners like me who manage only one website. Note that you must have a verified Google Search Console account to see all the reports and fully benefit from the tool.

If you manage multiple websites or run an agency, you can choose between the Team and the Agency plans, which offer the same features but for 5 and 20 websites, respectively.

As a part of this SEOTesting review, I spent 14 days testing the tool and upgraded to the Single Site plan for $40. This solution works for me if I only need to manage my own website. If I run client projects, I still use Semrush and Ahrefs.

I’ve collected a few more questions users actively search for online. The answers are based on the information from the SEOTesting official website and reflect my personal opinion as an SEO expert.

No. SEOTesting.com is not free. You’ll have to pay at least $40 and have a verified Google Search Console account to use the tool. However, SEOTesting offers a 14-day free trial that I highly recommend trying.

SEOTesting reports are exceptionally accurate since the tool uses your Google Search Console account data. That’s why you’ll have to connect both tools right after creating an account.

Unlike other SEO tools, SEOTesting.com does not have a crawler. However, it offers built-in reports that use your GSC data.

You can easily integrate SEOTesting with your Google Search Console. It also provides an API Key to add Keywords Everywhere data into SEOTesting.

As an SEO expert, I’ve used various optimization tools. You can check my reviews here. I’d recommend the following free and paid alternatives to SEOTesting:

1. Semrush — an all-in-one digital marketing tool. 7-day free trial

2. Ahrefs — a powerful tool for website analysis and link building. No free trial.

3. Mangools — an affordable alternative with a free account. You can register here.

4. CanIRank — a powerful SEO solution with a free account.

5. ContentKing — an inexpensive SEO tool for website analysis. 7-day free trial.
